What is collected? Information you provide:
Some activities on Rvjunky require us to collect personally identifiable information. These activities include contacting Rvjunky, making a payment for membership dues or merchandise, signing up for e-mail mailing lists or entering a contest or sweepstakes. Personal information is collected when you provide information to complete a form on the website. For many activities we only collect your e-mail address. For other activities, including making a purchase or signing up for membership, we may also collect additional more specific information. Additional information we may collect includes your credit card information, billing address, telephone number, and specific reference information required to complete your application for membership.
Information Collected via Technology:
A cookie is a simple line of text that a Web server (like Rvjunky.com) asks your browser to remember for future use. A typical cookie may store your user name and password for a specific site on the Web.
Web sites cannot make direct changes to your local cookies file; only your browser can do that. Your browser has security features built in which prevent servers from randomly writing information to your hard drive. You can turn off the cookie feature in your browser. Please check your browser's help files on how to do this. When the cookie feature is on, server information can only be written to your local cookie file. The web server that writes the cookie is the only one that can read that cookie according to Microsoft Server documentation.
How does Rvjunky use or share the information we collect?
Rvjunky uses your information to complete transactions such as membership applications, dues payments or merchandise purchases. If you contact Rvjunky for assistance, we will use your information to contact you. If you subscribe to one of Rvjunky's eNews letters, we will use your email address to send you appropriate email updates and newsletters. Rvjunky occasionally sends emails regarding information or offers from one of our promotional partners. In these circumstances, Rvjunky may send an email on behalf of the partner. We reserve the right to use your information in order to contact you in reference to items in which you have previously expressed an interest.
Every eNews mailing from Rvjunky will include instructions for changing your subscription or unsubscribing from the subscriber list. You can request at any time that Rvjunky not send you future email by unsubscribing from the subscriber list.
Credit card transactions will be encrypted using a 128 bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) key or the highest level of encryption your web browser can accommodate. If your web browser cannot support 128-bit encryption CMA highly recommends upgrading to a 128 bit enabled web browser. To confirm that SSL encryption is enabled and to confirm that your information is encrypted while in transit from your web browser to our server, look at the bottom right corner of your browser for a closed lock symbol.
We will not store your credit card on Rvjunky web servers for a period longer than the period necessary to process your transaction.
We will also be using Paypal to complete most transactions that are processed through the Rvjunky website.
